The official national dress of Filipinos. It is an embroidered formal shirt usually woven from abaca, pina, organza, or polyester.

Typically constructed of textiles like gusót-mayaman, linen-cotton, and polyester-cotton. This appearance, which straddles the line between casual and dressed-up, was made popular by Filipino politicians who wore it during campaigns or fieldwork. However, this sort of shirt is viewed as improper for really formal events like weddings.
